WORSHIP SERVICE INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 11/27/2011

Praise God Saints!  He is worthy of all our praise, and it is through him that we live, breath, and have our being. Thanks to all that helped us celebrate our Deaconate Ministry Annual Day. This Sunday, Rev Shprecher will be bringing the Word. Here is his text...

PRIMARY TEXT: Isaiah 65:17-25 (NIV)
17 “Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.
19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying
will be heard in it no more.
20 “Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach£ a hundred will be considered accursed.
21 They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat.
For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands.
23 They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them.
24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says the LORD.

WORSHIP SERVICE INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 11/20/2011

Giving glory to God and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are getting ready for a blessing this Sunday as we celebrate our Deaconate Ministry. For the morning service I will be  preaching from the Book of Exodus,

PRIMARY TEXT: Exodus 15:22-27
22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.
23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.[a])
24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”
25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the LORD issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.
26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.(NIV)

WHAT THE SERMON IS ABOUT: Getting through the difficult times of life with God.

SUGGESTED CHILDREN'S MESSAGE: Let’s encourage our children to learn to trust God to take care of us.

RESPONSIVE READING: #565 God's Providential Care

NOVEMBER MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
