WORSHIP SERVICE INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 1/1/2012

Praise the Lord Saints! We are on the eve of a new year, the blessings and challenges of 2011 are behind and we march forward into 2012, not sure of what we may face, but assured who will face it with us. Thank you Lord!
With the beginning of a new year, I will begin a new sermon series entitled "Spiritual Success in 2012." It will use scriptures from the Sunday school text and will look at the life and times of Joseph, son of Jacob.

TEXT: Gen 39:7-21a
Gen 39:7  And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
Gen 39:8  But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master knoweth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
Gen 39:9  There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
Gen 39:10  And it came to pass, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
Gen 39:11  And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
Gen 39:12  And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
Gen 39:13  And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,
Gen 39:14  That she called unto the men of her house, and spoke unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in a Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:
Gen 39:15  And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.
Gen 39:16  And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home.
Gen 39:17  And she spoke unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me:
Gen 39:18  And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.
Gen 39:19  And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.
Gen 39:20  And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
Gen 39:21  But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Praise the Lord Saints! It is my prayer that during the business of this season, you will be mindful of the greatest gift of all. Luke 2:2  (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
Luke 2:3  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
Luke 2:4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
Luke 2:5  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
Luke 2:6  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
Luke 2:7  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

WORSHIP SERVICE INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 12/18/2011

Giving glory to God saints, God is good..., and all the time God is..., and so we press on in His name. We have just found out that the preacher (Dr Chester Williams) we had scheduled for this Sunday, has taken sick and will not be able to preach for us. For that reason we are postponing Mission Sunday until we can re-plan it, and I will preach this Sunday. Here is my text...

PRIMARY TEXT:Luke 1:26-38 (KJV)
26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

WHAT THE SERMON IS ABOUT: How to experience God's miracles in your life.

SUGGESTED CHILDREN'S MESSAGE: Let’s encourage our children to trust what God says (i.e. Bible) over others sources of information.

RESPONSIVE READING: #596 Faith

DECEMBER MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 27:1 -- The LORD is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?

REMINDER: Our Christmas morning service on December 25th will combine the Sunday school program and the worship service and it will begin at 10 AM.  Ministry leaders encourage your team and plan to be early, so that we can start promptly, thank you and bless you

WORSHIP SERVICE INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 12/11/2011

Praise God! He is worthy of our praise, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, He's worthy. Rev Shprecher is back this week with a message from Doctor Luke's Gospel. Here is his text...

PRIMARY TEXT:Luke 7:18-23
18John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them,
19he sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?”
20When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?’”
21At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. 22So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. 23Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.”

WHAT THE SERMON IS ABOUT: How God helps  us to see new beginnings in what might seems like the end.

SUGGESTED CHILDREN'S MESSAGE: Let’s encourage our children be persistent trusting that God can bring them through any situation.

RESPONSIVE READING: #59 The Christian Hope

DECEMBER MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 27:1 -- The LORD is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?

Bless you people of God--in Christian love
